APC and MJ

I went to APC yesterday. I was expecting the madras collection to be out. To my surprise you can only purchase the madras collection online. The clothes won't be in stores till early October...WTF?! APC regular collection was so ugh. No joke, pregnant ladies in their 40's were shopping there. I'm glad I blew my money at Marc Jacobs. These are the pieces I got!

Today at work...

one of my lovely students totally barfed on the rug. Kid puke is beyond gross but also funny. They have no control over themselves and they just let it rip. I'm glad I'm only like t in drunken states, but even then I always get to the bathroom on time. If that's not a craft, then that's some BS.

On Saturday...

I got my hair done at Dop Dop in Soho. It looks hella good! Melanie (rad ass stylist) sculpted my bangs. So sick! I think by January my hair will be down to my elbows. I can't wait!! After I got my hair done I really wanted to go into Miu Miu and purchase flats. However, a voice in my head told me to be good (sigh). So i met up with Nick and was like let's go to Opening Ceremony. He's never been and I thought I could find some flats there. To my surprise, we were not blown away by ANYTHING! I was pissed! I don't want some crazy ass tribal coat! I just want cute flats! After the OC disaster, Nick was like..."let's check out Dunderdon." We went....OMG! So cute! Since I couldn't find fall flats that day, I decided to buy this cute number.

Fashion night out!

Consist of me...sitting on my ass..eating clams. Woop woop! If that ain't a fashionable night..well..in then I don't know what is!

I cleaned my closet

Monday night was super girly. I watched Gossip Girl, washed my hair, watched Rachel Zoe, and then cleaned my closet. I transferred my fall clothes in and my summer clothes out! It took about an hour. I really didn't get rid of anything special. Idk if that's a good thing or bad thing. I've been really trying to not keep items that I haven't worn in years. However, I'm also not about to give up a United Bamboo shirt. What is a girl to do?!

Today at work...

I had to explain to a adorable 4 year old that the N word is not to be used in school or EVER!!!!!! Her response, "my mommy says it." I then said, "sometimes adults say things that they SHOULD NOT say."

During lunch, residents in the shelter were caught smoking crack.

After lunch, a fight broke out between 2 pregnant ladies.

Well, at least I can say that my job is so not boring or ordinary.

When I'm bored...

I look at Oscar de la Renta's bridal collection. Some might say this is crazy. To hell with um! His shit is mesmerizing. Nick is aware of my Oscar de la Renta white wedding obsession. He is ok with it and that is why he's AWESOME!

Day one

Today was my first day at my new jobby job. I can honestly say that all of my students are really amazing. There are some that have severe behavior problems, but I always have liked the bad ones. What I found to be extremely funny was that my students were really in love with my shoes. I didn't want to be too dressy nor flashy. So I wore my light brown ankle rubber shoes that I bought a year ago at Opening Cermony. During a read aloud they all kept coming up to my feet and touching my shoes! It was way cute! Now just imagine if I would have worn my Louboutins!

Apt makeover

Yesterday, I wrote about how I wanted to over haul my apt a bit, but was worried about what my bf Nick would think. Well, I showed him the choices and thoughts that I had. He said, no to the velvet curtains (sigh). Everything else was a YES! Living room curtains, bath curtain, towels,
bathmat and wallpaper for the kitchen. I'm hoping all of this will be done by end of September I also want our living room to have plants everywhere! My bff Ariana is moving to Seattle in a month (double sigh). She is giving me her amazing plants, which I will totally take very good care of. I really want Nick and I to have the most comfortable vintage inspired home ever! <3

Mini upgrade

I've been living in my apt for 4 years now. It is mos def home and really the only home I've ever been comfortable in. My ab fab bf Nick lives with me. He moved in 7 months ago. I love sharing my space with him, more so than any other guy I've lived with (there's been a couple). Since we live together I feel that it is only fare that we BOTH agree on mini upgrades for the apt. Sometimes my taste can be a wee bit girly girl. I don't want him to run out of the place! What is a lady to do?

Budget

So.... the other day I decided it would be a good idea to create a budget for myself. I have made some decisions. Here they are...

1. No more cabs! Maybe once a week. If you are out with me and I'm all like, "let's take a cab!" I am giving you permission to smack me! I think I probably waste around $ 250 a month on cabs. It's stupid! I rather use the $250 and buy a MJ sweater!

2. Brown bagging it! That's right. No buying fucking lunch or breakfast for me. Figure, that lunch comes to $10 a day. That's $50 bucks a week....$200 a month! Eff that!

I love to splurge! I rather it be on important items. <3

Oh, Geez!

So it has been like a month since I've posted anything on this bad boy. A lot has happened! I got a job!! A real one! With a salary and health benefits. This is very exciting because I was a bit worried; not about paying rent or buying food. No! I was worried about how the hell I was going to afford my Marianne Faithfull fall 09 look! I expressed this to my boyfriend Nick after I got the job. He was not surprised by my statement. That is why he's perfect! Being that I have a new J to the O to the B! I splurged a bit and bought a pretty scarf from Bird. I love this store. I also got this amazing floppy hat from American Apparel. <3
